Rantz Hoseley has stepped down as Managing Editor of Heavy Metal. Hoseley joined Heavy Metal in March 2016, assisting Editor-In-Chief Grant Morrison in changing the titular magazine's direction. Hoseley oversaw the company's other creator-owned titles, as well as co-writing an graphic novel adaptation of Nikki Sixx's The Heroin Diaries.
"It's easy to stay in your situation. In an established pattern. It's the harder thing by far to 'f*** fear' and do the thing your gut tells you that you need to do. The right thing," Hoseley wrote on Facebook. "2019 is already a ridiculously packed year for me with projects across film, TV, comics and music. Projects I think a number of you will f***ing love. News about those things when the time is right."
Hoseley previously founded the digital comics start-up LongBox, and edited Tori Amos' Comic Book Tattoo anthology for Image Comics.
