Sarah Litt and Cory Sedlmeier have joined AHOY Comics as Editor-at-Large and Collections Editor, respectively.
"Hiring Sarah and Cory was an easy decision," AHOY Comics Editor-In-Chief Tom Peyer told Newsarama. "They both have great reputations in the field, and resumes and reputations to back that up."
Litt joins AHOY following three years as editor at the Princeton Review. She is best known in comic circles for her editing work at DC Entertainment (and Vertigo) from 2008 to 2013. She currently edits Black Mask Studios' Black and Black AF on a freelance basis, and plans to continue concurrent to her AHOY work. She currently volunteers for FeLT NYC, an organization dedicated to teaching English to immigrant and refugee women.
Sedlmeier comes to AHOY after 17 years working for Marvel Entertainment. Sedlmeier was an Associate Editor at the NYC-based publisher from 2002 to 2006, then segued to freelance editing on Miracleman and the Marvel Masterworks line for the past 12 years. As part of his duties with Marvel, he consults on their archives and assisted in art restoration. Sedlmeier will continue as a freelance editor with Marvel concurrent with his AHOY work.
AHOY Comics launched in June 2018 with a stated focus towards originality and offbeat humor. AHOY's key staff in addition to Peyer are Publisher Hart Seely, Chief Creative Officer Frank Cammuso, and Stuart Moore, who's overseeing operations.
