DC's Birds of Prey will be landing in the CW's Arrow this year - sort of. In an interview with TVLine, Arrow showrunner Beth Scwartz said that a "Birds of Prey-inspired" episode will be coming up as part of Earth-2 Laurel Lance/Black Siren (played by Katie Cassidy)'s redemption story.

"Well, we are doing a Birds of Prey-inspired episode, that she will be involved with," Schwartz said. "And we’ll get to see what happens in her overall arc, in her redemption story - whether she is really redeemed as Black Siren and did she really turn over a new leaf, or is she still the same evil Black Siren that we saw last season."

When asked about who would be in this Birds of Prey lineup, Schwartz said they were leaving it up to fans to guess who would show up.

Schwartz didn't specify which episode that would be, however January 28's "Past Sins" arc will delve more into Lance's Earth-2 history.

In comic books, Laurel Lance/Black Canary was a founding member of the Birds of Prey alongside Barbara Gordon (a.k.a. Oracle). Filming is underway on an unconnected Birds of Prey movie titled Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) for a February 2020 release.

Arrow airs Mondays on the CW.
