An old superhero card game is revived in Upper Deck's new Pack Wars and the recent 2017 Marvel Annual trading cards. The long-time trading card company has released Pack Wars on its propetary e-Pack platform, allowing players to buy, open, collect, trade and now play against others in a stats battle.

"Fan-favorite heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe will be revealed and pitted against one another in an epic battle of power, strength, speed and more," reads an Upper Deck statement. "At the end of each match, all cards are returned to their rightful owners and the declared winner will be awarded a Pack Wars insert card available exclusively through the e-Pack platform."

In this new game, users can initiate challenge with people from around the world. A running leaderboard with the top players globally will constantly be updated, with the 5op 5 players receiving rare Pack Wars prize cards. These prize cards can include both digital and physical cards including color parallels, printing plates, and rare 1-of-1 sketch cards.

No details yet on if the recent 2018-2019 Marvel Annual trading cards will eventually be added to the Pack Wars game.
