Jude Law's fanatical Kree Starforce Commander Yon-Rogg (as he was recently officially named  - though we have our theories  about that) has a special relationship with the Supreme Intelligence in Captain Marvel - one Law says gives his character "divine purpose" in the war with the Skrulls.

"It's interesting, he has a very particular relationship - and any of you who know a lot about the Kree, there's sort of a divine element called the Supreme Intelligence - and that comes it play in this," Law explained to ScreenRant. "Each of the Starforce, indeed each of the Kree warriors, has a particular relationship with the Supreme Intelligence, and my character has a very particular relationship with the Supreme Intelligence which becomes revealed and is quite complex and ultimately very revealing of what it is that motivates him.

"I've kind of based him almost on," Law continued, "not a religious fanatic but he's got a sort of Divine sense of purpose because of his relationship with this greater being."

It's still unclear exactly what form the Kree Supreme Intelligence will take in the film, but Law has previously called his character a "zealot" for the Kree, suggesting their relationship will play a significant role in the plot.

Captain Marvel is due out in theaters March 8.
