Walt Disney Company's Chairman/CEO Bob Iger has a big vision for Captain Marvel - one that isn't limited to just the comic book and movie divisions. Take a look:
Fasten your seatbelts for a wild ride! #CapitaMarvel— Robert Iger (@RobertIger) January 8, 2019
I think we should build a Captain Marvel land and 50 Captain Marvel attractions, plus Captain Marvel Cruise Ships, hotels, restaurants and parades. https://t.co/0ejSZsaPd8
Disney almost certainly looks at Captain Marvel in similar vein as Black Panther in terms of potential cultural impact (and would likely be thrilled with two-thirds of its success), so can Iger's comments be interpreted as corporate confidence in the nearly-finished product, or a need to goose "#CapitaMarvel's" (apparently it's a Brazilian hashtag) market profile?
Captain Marvel's foray into Disney's parks and cruise ship divisions has already begun, as character performers perform daily at Disney parks and the Disney Cruise Line.
