A group of comic creators  have banded together to produce a benefit anthology with proceeds going to help Bill and Nadine Messner-Loebs after financial hardships led the couple to become homeless. Titled The Unforgotten, the project has raised $3,056 to date with an Indiegogo campaign.

"William and Nadine Messner-Loebs are wonderful people, and we remember not only the great work they have done within the comic book community but also the types of inspiration, encouragement, and direct help in getting us on our own creative paths," writes organizer Michael Marcus.

"Were it not for them, I would have lost hope in terms of my own personal desire to create comics and games. It was for this reason that I asked my friends in Detroit Tradecraft to not only create art and story for this anthology, but also to put out the word in our community that we wanted to help Bill and Nadine."

The 36-page anthology includes work from Tom Orzechowski, Bill Bryan, Brent Bowman, G. Walker Teon, J.R. Mounts, C. Pat Jackson, David Branstetter, Marco Evans, Anthony Zicari, Claudio Sepulveda, Nick Gibson, Jason Johnson, and Jammie Eric Baird.

Marcus intends for all of the money from The Unforgotten (minus printing and shipping costs) will be given directly to the Messner-Loebses.
