$100,000 worth of comic books and collectibles were stolen from a Las Vegas storage unit, according to local NBC affiliate KSNV. Security footage from the Life Storage facility reportedly caught two suspects breaking into the unit with a saw-type device.

"I cried you can still hear me. I cried for like 2 or 3 hours," said Daniel Ballard, the owner of the sheds' contents. "The crown jewel of it was the Amazing Spider-Man. I had the entire run 1-170 volume one and two. I had a lot of other issues. The first appearance of Venom, 'Death of Captain Stacy,' and the first appearance of the Punisher."

Ballard said over 3,000 comic books were stolen, including some he was storing for the local charity, Critical Care Comics.

Police are encouraging any one with information involving this crime to call Crime Stoppers of Nevada at (702) 382-5555.
