TinyCo is shutting down its Marvel Avengers Academy game on February 4. The company said the decision was made in order to focus on new projects.
“Thanks to you, Avengers Academy has been a community where Marvel fans have been able to conquer the dance floor, eat cheese, punch Hydra in the face, and put penguins in places no one thought penguins could go,” TinyCo said. “Avengers Academy was a collaborative partnership between TinyCo and Marvel Games, and we are proud of the game and community we’ve built together.”
The company has already suspended new purchases or downloads, but has gifted users 2500 shards in-game was well as other surprise material.
Tinyco launched Marvel Avengers Academy in February 2016 as a freemium mobile game, and the company was acquired several months later by JamCity.
