Polly Walker has been cast as Peggy Sykes for Epix's Pennyworth television series, according to Deadline.

According to the Hollywood trade, Walker's character is one of the "busiest and most successful dominatrixes" in Lancashire, England. Paloma Faith was previously cast as Bet Sykes in this Batman period piece, and the two Sykes are described as sisters.

"The sensible matriarch in a family of maniacs, Peggy is fiercely loyal, endlessly resourceful and lives by her own strange but rigorous moral code," Deadline writes.

Walker is best known for Golden Globe nominated role as Atia in HBO's Rome - which was produced by Pennyworth's Bruno Heller. She also appeared in the movies Clash of the Titans and John Carter.

Production of Pennyworth is underway now at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, however no television debut date has been announced.
