Marvel Comics have partnered with the Japanese band Sekai No Owari (translated as "End of the World") on a new one-shot comic book reimagining the band's members as superheroes. The one-shot, which was announced over the weeknd at Tokyo Comic Con, is being illustrated by Takeshi Miyazawa - the writer has not been announced.

"After two years in development, it was a thrill to finally announce the special comic book/music video/documentary series Marvel created with groundbreaking Japanese rock band End of the World (@SekaiNoOwariOFC) at Tokyo Comic Con!" tweeted Marvel Comics' Editor-In-Chief C.B. Cebulski.

The two-year development process would seemingly connect with Cebulski's position at Marvel previous to becoming E-i-C in late 2017.

In 2016, Cebulski was sent to work and live in Shanghai as Marvel's VP of International Business Development & Brand Management. Cebulski explained that job as developing the company's brand in Asia.

Sekai No Owari has released a trailer for the one-shot comic book:

Sekai No Owari's YouTube page states the comic book would be released December 11, but no platform(s) have been specified.
