48 Hours actor Nick Nolte has joined the cast of Disney+'s Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details of Nolte's reported role were not revealed. Other castmembers include Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano. Iron Man director Jon Favreau wrote the series and directed the pilot episode. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow will also direct episodes.
Here's the official synopsis:
"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."
The Mandalorian is expected to debut in 2019 on Disney's upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
