Press Release

IT'S ALIVE! has launched the Kickstarter to publish BATTLE FOR BRITAIN by comic book legend and WWII veteran Sam Glanzman.  This is the forth in a series of COMBAT reprints, originally published in 1961.  Each page has been scanned, cleaned and restored, to deliver the best possible visual experience for the reader.

For those who need a little history lesson, The Battle for Britain was a military campaign of the Second World War, in which the Royal Air Force defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany's air force, the Luftwaffe. It has been described as the first major military campaign fought entirely by air forces!

Along with a fully restored main story, this new edition will feature an awesome four page back up story entitled The Puny, Little Yank, black and white photos from WWII, a new essay about Sam Glanzman, an essay about the Doolittle Raiders, vintage ads that were in the original issues, the original cover art by Sam Glanzman, a new standard cover by Sam Glanzman, and a new variant cover by the incredible John McCrea!  52 pages of WWII greatness, all on thick beautiful paper, tucked inside a matte finished card stock cover, perfect bound!

IT'S ALIVE! has also decided to make the first three COMBAT reprints (DUNKIRK, MIDWAY, and D-DAY) available from this new Kickstarter campaign.

And right now you can save some money by grabbing one of the Early Bird Specials, which will be available until this Friday, November 30, at 11PM EST!
