BOOM! Studios editor Whitney Leopard has taken a new position as Senior Editor of the recently-launched Random House Graphic imprint fo Randhom House. As Senior Editor of Random House Graphic, Leopard will be responsible for all aspects of book development, including plans to acquire 15+ new projects each calendar year. Leopard will report to Random House Graphic's Publishing Director, Gina Gagliano.
Leopard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sequential art from the Savannah College of Art & Design, and worked as a freelance illustrator for several years. A 2012 internship with Archaia Entertainment turned into full-time employment at BOOM! Studios as an assistant editor. After being promoted to a full editor, Leopard oversaw the company's KaBOOM! kids imprint including titles such as Adventure Time, Over the Garden Wall, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Rocko's Modern Life.
Random House Graphic plans to launch in the fall of 2019 with titles for both children and teenagers, including taking over Random House Children Books' publication of Jeffrey Brown's Lucy & Andy Neanderthal, Babymouse by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm, and Judd Winick's Hilo.
