Who are 'The Last X-MEN'?

The adult Cyclops and the not-"Old Man" Wolverine are reunited on the cover to February 2019's Uncanny X-Men #12 - but the bigger story is the teaser text at the bottom: "The Last X-Men".

“This is the fight to save mutantkind, the fight to restore their legacy, and this is the fight for their lives," says writer Matthew Rosenberg. "This is forever.”

Rosenberg is currently co-writing Uncanny X-Men, but will take over the title solo in February beginning with #11. Fellow Uncanny alum, artist Salvador Larroca, will be joining him in this.

So just who are the "Last X-Men"? Given Scott and Logan are in the art, they might be a good bet. But long-time fans will remember that Bishop - who is part of the new Uncanny line-up - was at one point billed as "The Last X-Man," with a series running from 1991 to 2001 even titled Bishop: The Last X-Man.
