Kevin Durand is in negotiations to play Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. the Floronic Man) in DC Universe's Swamp Thing, according to That Hashtag Show.

Originally created in 1962's The Atom #1 by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane, the Floronic Man grew to become a key adversary for Swamp Thing beginning with Alan Moore's Saga of the Swamp Thing run.

Durand is a veteran of action and genre films and television, including roles in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (as the Blob), Lost (Martin Kearney), and The Strain (Vasily Fet).

Swamp Thing is anticipated to debut sometime in 2019 on the DC Universe streaming service.
