Kabam's Marvel: Contest of Champions mobile game is welcoming what some would say it's namesake: the Champion.
"As an Elders of the Universe member, The Champion is able to control an energy source referred to as the Power Primordial, the residual energy that is left over from the Big Bang itself," reads Kabam's description of the Champion. "He channels this energy to enhance his physical form, and he seeks out the greatest fighters in the universe to test the limits of his powers."
Originally created for 1982's Marvel Two-in-One Annual #7 by Tom DeFalco and Ron Wilson, the Champion (or the Champion of the Universe) is one of the Elders of the Universe and is an esteemed fighter, having wrestled and boxed in different venues around the Marvel U including Madison Square Garden.
In the game, the Champion's three specials are moves straight out of professional wrestling: the Judo Chop, a Missile Dropkick, and a Press Backbreaker.
Marvel: Contest of Champions is available now for both Android and iOS devices.
