Nintendo is in talks to develop a Legend of Zelda TV series with Castlevania producer Adi Shankar, according to The Wrap.
On Monday, Shankar alluded to such a project on Instagram, saying that he was "working with an iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series." Shankar said at that time he planned to announce it November 16 at 1 p.m. (no time zone specified).
Originally created in the 1980s by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka for Nintendo's NES platform, Legend of Zelda has spawn numerous sequels, manga, and a 1989 animated series.
Nintendo has declined to comment.
