The iconic adult magazine Playboy will once again have comics inside - along with James Bond - with the November/December 2018 issue.
James Bond Origin writer Jeff Parker, artist Bob Q, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Simon Bowland have completed a new, standalone six-page story for the issue. Like the series it spins off from, this story features a 17-year-old James Bond and his exploits during World War II.
"In our story, James is dropped off the coast of Belgium to help a Resistance cell take out a supply train that’s important to the Nazis," says Jeff Parker. "This turned out great and I hope readers enjoy it as much as we did making it."
Ian Fleming's James Bond is a familiar face in the pages of Playboy, as several original short stories by Fleming were published there in the 1960s.
This issue of Playboy is available now digitally, with print editions expected to go on sale October 30. James Bond Origin #1 debuted in September.
