Marvel's Iron Fist has been cancelled at Netflix after two seasons, according to Deadline.
“Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix,” said Marvel and Netflix in a joint statement issued to the Hollywood trade. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners,” Marvel and Netflix added. “We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.”
The statement implies that, though the show has ended, we may see more of Danny Rand, with actor Finn Jones saying on Instagram "Every end is a new beginning."
"I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show," Jones' statement continued. "Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support."
Iron Fist season 2 ended with Danny Rand passing the power of the Iron Fist to Colleen Wing, potentially setting up a very different take on Iron Fist for future Netflix shows.
