Summit Entertainment's Hellboy movie reboot has been pushed back three months to a new theatrical release date of April 12, 2019. The date change was noted in Hellboy's official Twitter profile, although no reason has been given for the move.
This new April 12 date puts it one week after New Line Cinema's Shazam!, and opening in competition with Universal Pictures' The Adventures of Doctor Doolittle (starring Robert Downey Jr.) and 20th Century Fox's Breakthrough.
The cast and crew of the movie - including creator Mike Mignola - are scheduled for a Hellboy movie panel Saturday, October 6 during New York Comic Con. Star David Harbour has previously teased that footage from the film would be shown during this event.
