SYFY Orders RESIDENT ALIEN Pilot As Full Series

Updated February 28, 2019: SyFy has ordered its adaptation of Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse's Dark Horse comic title Resident Alien to series.

This means that the adaptation, which stars Firefly's Alan Tudyk, will go into production for a full season, though no projected premiere date has been reported.

Here's Dark Horse's official description of Resident Alien: "A twisted and comedic fish-out-of-water story that follows a crash-landed alien named Harry (Alan Tudyk) who, after taking on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor, slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth - ultimately asking the question, 'Are human beings worth saving?'"
 

Original Story: Alan Tudyk will reportedly star in SyFy's adaptation of Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse's Dark Horse comic series Resident Alienaccording to Variety.

Tudyk will play Doctor Harry Vanderspeigle, an alien stranded on Earth in the body of a human. In addition to Tudyk, Resident Alien will star Sara Tomko as Asta Twelvetrees, Corey Reynolds as Sherriff Mike Thompson, Alice Wetterlund as D'arcy, and Levi Fiehler as Ben Hawthorne.

No projected premiere date for Resident Alien was reported.
