Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger says he couldn't envision anyone but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to oversee the X-Men franchise when the pending 21st Century Fox acquisition is finalized. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Iger shares his vision for the integration.
"I think it only makes sense [for Feige to oversee everything]," Iger said. "I want to be careful here because of what's been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels."
When asked if Deadpool could become an Avenger, Iger declined to confirm but said "Kevin's got a lot of ideas.
"I'm not suggesting that's one of them. But who knows?"
