Allan Heinberg is developing a TV series based on "lesser known" female Marvel superheroes, according to Deadline.
The Hollywood trade reports that the hour-long drama has been picked up for a production commitment by ABC.
Heinberg is best known as the writer of Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman film, as well as for a brief run on the Wonder Woman comic book. In terms of Marvel Comics, Heinberg co-created the Young Avengers alongside artist Jim Cheung.
The unnamed series is still in development, with few details about the plot reported. Marvel Comics has had all female superteams in the past, including A-Force, and 2009's Marvel Divas limited series.
