Game of Thrones' Kit Harington is questioning the lack of gay actors portraying superheroes in Marvel movies. The 31-year-old actor brought it up while on a promotional tour for his movie, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan.
"There’s a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can’t somehow go hand-in-hand," Harington told Variety. "That we can’t have someone in a Marvel movie who’s gay in real life and plays some super hero. I mean, when is that going to happen?"
Back in June, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said there would be LGBTQ characters their upcoming films but did not address the casting of gay (or LGBTQ) actors being cast in superhero roles in the movies directly.
