GREG NICOTERO Designing Live-Action SPAWN (After Working on Original 1997 Movie)

Special make-up effects artist Greg Nicotero has signed on create the live-action look of the titular hero in the upcoming Spawn movie. Although best known for his work on The Walking Dead, one of Nicotero's earliest projects was working on the original 1997 Spawn movie.

Creator/writer/director Todd McFarlane announced the news on Twitter Wednesday, along with a pictue of himself and Nicotero.

Blumhouse has not announced a release date for Spawn.
