Walmart is launching a new digital books app in partnership with Rakuten Kobo titled Walmart eBooks. Rakuten Kobo is company behind Kobo, a digital books company that manufacturers various e-readers.

Described as "a comprehensive digital book solution" by the retail giant, Walmart eBooks will offer all of Kobo's six million titles - including a vast array of graphic novels from Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse, IDW Publishing, and more.

As part of this deal, Walmart has begun selling various Kobo e-readers on its digital platforms and will begin stocking the Kobo Aura e-reader at some brick-and-mortar retail locations later this week.

Walmart will also be promoting this service at over 3,500 retail locations with book-specific gift cards available near the check-out registers.

The Walmart eBooks app is available on iOS and Android devices, as well as on Kobo eReaders.
