Leinil Yu's cover for November 21's Uncanny X-Men #2, the second chapter of the 10-part weekly story "X-Men: Disassembled," has been released.
The cover features Jamie Madrox duplicating the poses - and seemingly the powers - of all the X-Men depicted in the first issue cover.
"I wish I could say writers don't love putting characters we love through rough stuff... but I think that would be a bold-faced lie," co-writer Kelly Thompson told Marvel.com. "There's nothing I like more than making people laugh and fall in love and then really making them feel something and be moved - which sometimes means tragedy - and then making them laugh again. I think we've got a great emotional narrative at the heart of this event. One that I hope fans will respond to."
One of Thompson's co-writers on "X-Men: Disassembled," Matthew Rosenberg (Ed Brisson is the third writer on the series), is currently writing a Multiple Man limited series.
Uncanny X-Men #2 will be released November 21.
