DC's Justice League is doing another unique cross-company crossover this fall - with Brazilian cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa's Monica's Gang.
"For almost 60 years, my comics have entertained many generations of Brazilian readers. Now, all of them, just like me, will enjoy this very special moment: the crossover of Monica and her friends with DC Comics superheroes," said de Sousa.
In this crossover, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and others meet de Sousa's Monica, Jimmy Five, Smudge and more in the the December and January editions of de Sousa's Porteugeuse-language magazines Mônica, Cebolinha, Cascão, Magali, Chico Bento and Turma da Mônica.
"We are proud to bring together the fun and surprising world of Monica and her gang with the iconic heroes of the DC universe," said Panini's Director of Publications Marco M. Lupoi, who helped faciliate the deal. "After more than 15 years as editors of DC Comics in Brazil and a decade of partnership with Mauricio de Sousa and MSP, it was time to give life to a team as incredible as this. If you found it impossible to mix the universe of the Limoeiro neighborhood with the atmospheres of Metropolis, Gotham City and Paradise Island, prepare for the great surprise that is to come in our publications."
