Rico Renzi has left his position as retailer Heroes Aren't Hard to Find (and HeroesCon) Creative Director in favor of full-time comics work.
Heroes officially announced I'm moving on but I'd like to thank everyone who helped me make HeroesCon happen every year and especially @caseyjonesart & @sheltondrum for believing I could add something to America's Favorite (only?) COMIC Convention. https://t.co/6g19SQWquy ??— rico. (@whoisrico) July 30, 2018
"Joining the likes of Casey Jones, Matt Fraction, Dustin Harbin and Bridgit Connell, Rico becomes the latest in a long history of talented Heroes staffers who have made the move into full-time comic work, writes Heroes' event coordinator Karla Southern on the store's website. "While Rico will now be freelancing full-time, he will remain a true 'Hero' at heart and will be assisting with occasional design work and con assistance."
Renzi was the principal colorist on the long-running Spider-Gwen series with Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez, and will be coloring Rodriguez' upcomin Goddess Mode for DC/Vertigo. Renzi also colors Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
