Actress Angela Bassett believes that her character Ramonda and Letitia Wright's Shuri are among the survivors of Thanos' fateful snap in Avengers: Infinity War. While at a press event for the upcoming Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Bassett said that Ramonda was among the survivors.
“No. Neither did my daughter, Shuri," Bassett said when asked if Ramonda had turned to dust by ScreenRant. "She's a bright girl there in Wakanda. So…’"
A "bright girl" with a new Marvel Comics solo title of her own coming out later this year.
Marvel Studios has not confirmed the fates of Ramonda or Shuri, so their fans may still be in for a shock when Avengers 4 rolls around next summer. However, given that Marvel's Kevin Feige has already expressed plans for Black Panther 2 (and potentially a female led spin-off), it's a safe bet that the cast's breakout stars may be intact by the time a sequel is underway.
The story continues in Avengers 4, due out in theaters May 3, 2019.
