BOOM! Studios has hired Averie Huffine to head its television deparment, according to Deadline. Working under the title Vice-President of Development, Huffine will manage BOOM!'s various television projects including the announced Old City Blues, Snow Blind, and The Woods. BOOM! has a first-look TV development with 20th Century TV Studio (20th Century Fox also owns a minority stake in BOOM!).
Huffine joins BOOM! after working at Pascal Pictures, which helped produce Spider-Man: Homecoming and worked on TV projecsts including Drifter and Darktown. Deadline credits her for optioning Mark Sullivan's prose novel Beneath a Scarlett Side for a Pascal Pictures film.
In this new position, Huffine will report to BOOM!'s President of Development Stephen Christy.
