Henry Cavill wants to face Brainiac if he ever gets another Man of Steel movie. In an interview promoting his new film Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Cavill told Fandom of his interest - along with what he wants to do with the Superman character.
"I think a great villain would be Brainiac. He'd be a good villain to play against, " Cavill said. "Brainiac is a big threat - it'd be a lot of fun. There's a lot of storylines to him."
When asked about the possibility of playing an 'evil' Superman as Christopher Reeve did in Superman III, Cavill said he wanted to go a more heroic direction.
"I would be very keen to play a classic comic Supes before playing an evil Superman," Cavill explained."In comic books there's a lot of real good stories of him being a classic hero - a real beacon of hope, a shining light for people to aspire towards."

Back in August 2016, Cavill's manager Dany Garcia confirmed that a second Man of Steel film was being discussed at Warner Bros. Both Matthew Vaughn and Christopher McQuarrie (who directs Mission: Impossible - Fallout) have been named as directors under consideration for the project.
