Numan Acar has been cast in a mystery role for Sony Pictures' Marvel Studios-produced Spider-Man: Far From Home, according to Deadline. Acar's reported character is named Dimitri, but Marvel purportedly didn't comment when asked if he would be playing comic books' Dimitri Smerdyakov, a.k.a. the Chameleon.
Another notable Dimitri in Marvel Comics is Dimitri Bukharin, the fifth Crimson Dynamo.
This is the second Disney part Acar has landed in recent months, after joining the live-action Aladdin as Hakim. Acar has previously appeared in Fox's Prison Break and Showtime's Homeland.
Acar is the third actor reportedly joining the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel after J.B. Smooth and Jake Gyllenhaal - the latter, reportedly, as Mysterio. Original stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, and Marisa Tomei are expected to reprise their roles in this sequel.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled to open in theaters July 5.
