BRIAN CUNNINGHAM Confirmed as DC’s SUPERMAN Group Editor

Newsarama has learned that Brian Cunningham has been named Group Editor of DC Comics’ Superman line. Cunningham’s titles include Man of Steel, Action Comics, Superman, Supergirl, Green Lanterns, Deathstroke, Suicide Squad, Teen Titans, Titans, and Doomsday Clock. Cunningham’s name (and title) have already begun appearing in some books, including this week’s Man of Steel #2.

The previous Superman Group Editor Eddie Berganza was terminated in late 2017, with Cunningham and other editors filling the spot in a temporary capacity until now.

Cunningham broke into the industry in 1991 at Wizard magazine, where he ultimate attained the role of Executive Editor before departing the company in 2008. Cunningham quickly segued to DC as an editor working under under Dan DiDio. Cunningham rose through the ranks to become a full editor ahead of “New 52.”
