Netflix is in "final negotiations" to order a full season of IDW Entertainment's Locke & Key following Hulu dropping the prospective TV series earlier this year, according to Deadline. According to the Hollywood trade, Netflix's intention would be to pass on the already-filmed pilot and opt for the show to go under redevelopment, including recasting many of the key roles.

Carlton Cuse, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and the IDW duo of Ted Adams and David Ozer remain on-board as executive producers.

This would be the third pilot based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez' Locke & Key comic book series; Fox filmed a pilot in 2011, while Hulu's was filmed in 2017.
