Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have confirmed a potential Avengers 4 plot point that was hinted at in Avengers: Infinity War.
Spoilers ahead for Avengers: Infinity War.
According to ComicBook.com, in an interview in the official Avengers: Infinity War magazine, Paltrow mentions her character Pepper Potts having a child with Tony Stark. In Infinity War, Stark had a vision of the two having a baby named Morgan.
"Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together," Paltrow states in the magazine (according to ComicBook). "She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they're married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve."
It's worth noting that ComicBook offers no further context for the quote which is reproduced from print, so it's somewhat unclear if Paltrow meant that Avengers 4 takes place a decade into Potts and Stark's relationship which started in 2008, or if she means the film takes place 10 years after moviegoers last see the couple in Infinity War.
The still officially untitled Avengers 4 is due out in theaters May 3, 2019.
