DC Entertainment's planned Metropolis TV show has been pushed back from its 2019 debut to a now-unspecified date, according to Deadline.

The series was originally picked up for a 13-episode straight-to-series order on DC's upcoming proprietary streaming app (now titled DC Universe), but will now reportedly be "redeveloped" for unspecified reasons, with no updated release date reported.

The live-action Metropolis series was first announced back in January as a look at the fictional city before the arrival of Superman, with Lois Lane and Lex Luthor in co-starring roles.

Deadline did not report if Metropolis' originally-announced producing duo, Gotham's John Stephens and Danny Cannon, remain attached.
