Constantine alum Michael James Shaw has been confirmed as the motion-capture actor playing Avengers: Infinity War's Corvus Glaive. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed the actor's role in the film in a recent interview with CinemaBlend.
"It's a gentleman named Michael Shaw... He's an actor, and we cast a wide net for these characters," said Joe Russo.
"In the same way we were approaching Thanos with Josh Brolin to bring sort of a very grounded, realistic performance, we wanted to do that with everyone in the Black Order," added Anthony Russo. "So we cast very, very good actors for those. And we had Terry Notary, so Terry worked very closely with every one of them to help them understand, including Josh, to help them understand movement, what the relationship between their body and their characters' bodies are, almost like a puppeteer."
Glaive is featured prominently in a new Avengers: Infinity War clip released last week, with a voice that sounded like the confirmed-cast Peter Dinklage. Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige has previously said that there will be seperate voice actors for Corvus Glaive and most of Thanos' Black Order, but has not yet confirmed if Dinklage is indeed voicing Corvus Glaive.
Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters this Thursday.
