The 2007 DC Comics/WildStorm limited series The Highwaymen is in development as a live-action film under Warner Bros.'s New Line Cinema brand, according to The Hashtag Show. New Line is reportedly offering the project to various screenwriters.

"In their prime, Able 'Speed' Monroe and Ichabod McQueen were couriers capable of ferrying anything, anywhere, anytime. Now almost obsolete, they're called out of retirement to deliver some very dangerous cargo for a dead President," reads DC's description for the series. "If only they knew what is was - and why everyone else wants to kill them for it."

Created by Marc Bernardin, Adam Freeman, and Lee Garbett, New Line's Highwaymen is unrelated to upcoming Kevin Costner-starring Netflix film of the same name.

New Line's Dave Neustatder, Josh Mack, and Aria Moffly are reportedly overseeing this adaptation.
