Writer Matthew Rosenberg has announced on Twitter that he will take over Astonishing X-Men from writer Charles Soule starting with July's #13.
Rosenberg will be joined on his first arc by artist Greg Land, with a new line-up consisting of Colossus, Dazzler, Warpath, Beast, and Havok, with the latter two acting as co-leaders.
"[Charles Soule] finishes his story in issue #12," Rosenberg added on Twitter. "In issue #13 myself and Greg Land come in to tell an all new story with an all new team. It's got a lot of nods to some of my favorite stories in X-Men history but also is going to be pushing things forward and challenging the future."
Rosenberg has previously written the X-Men in Phoenix Resurrection and New Mutants: Dead Souls.
For Soule's 12-issue run, each issue was drawn by a different artist. It is unknown if that will schedule continue into Rosenberg's run.
Astonishing X-Men #13 is due out on shelves July 4.
