Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has high hopes for his Black Adam film with Warner Bros./New Line Cinema, and thinks it could begin filming as early as next year.

“The script came in, it’s great, we’re working on it,” Johnson told Yahoo Movies. “If things come together in the way we anticipate them coming together, that feels like a 2019 movie.”

Johnson has said his next two movies are Disney's Jungle Cruise and then Universal's Hobbs and Shaw (a spin-off of The Fast and the Furious). In addition to that, he's announced to participate in a Jumanji sequel, Doc Savage, The Janson Directive, and Red Notice.

The sister film Shazam! is scheduled for release April 5, 2019. DC have four reserved film release dates in 2020.
