Robert Kirkman's Skybound entertaiment has announced plans to launch a video game division called Skybound Games. Skybound Games will be led by former 505 Games president Ian Howe.
“Partnering with David Alpert, Robert Kirkman, and the rest of the Skybound team is the perfect home for a new video games publishing venture, given their continued dedication to creators in all forms of media,” said Howe in a statement (via Variety).
Skybound Games has announced that its first endeavor will be to bring two indie titles to shelves for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, including The Long Dark, a surivial adventure game produced alongside Canadian developer Hinterland Games, and Slime Rancher, in which players will develop an extra-terrestrial slime farm.
Both games were released digitally in 2017, however Skybound will bring hardcopies of the games for Playstation 4 and Xbox One to stores in September 2018.
