Netflix is developing a television series based on the just-announced King Arthur/Lady of the Lake illustrated novel Cursed by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, according to Deadline. The streaming service has ordered a 10-episode first season of Cursed, and will be producted concurrently with the novel.

“I have always been entranced by the mythological Arthur story - and by Nimue, in particular. It can be interpreted in any number of ways - from a delightful children’s story, as in The Sword in the Stone, to a terrifying interpretation like Excalibur,” Miller said previously about the book.

Miller and Wheeler are on-board the Netflix adaptation as executive producers.

The Cursed illustrated novel is scheduled to be released in late 2019 by Simon & Schuster.

No release date for Netflix's Cursed has been announced.
