20th Century Fox has once again postponed the theatrical releases of X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, according to Tracking Board.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix has now moved back from its November 2, 2018, with a new February 14, 2019 release date. Bryan Singer's Bohemian Rhapsody takes over that November 2 slot. Dark Phoenix writer/director Simon Kinberg previously said that filming ended in October 2017. At February 14, 2019, Dark Phoenix will now open in competition with Paramount's Instant Family starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne - and only one week after Sony's Silver & Black.
New Mutants slides back nearly six months, moving from February 22, 2019 to August 2, 2019 - that's that's now 16 months later than its original April 2018 release date. In this new date, Josh Boone's New Mutants will debut opposite Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer.
No changes were made to 20th Century Fox's other dated comic book movies - The Untitled Deadpool Sequel (May 18, 2018) and Gambit (June 7, 2019).
