Marvel's "Legacy" relaunch of its 1970s fan magazine FOOM! only lasted one issue, but as part of "Fresh Start" the publisher is launching a new magazine - Marvel Universe.

Scheduled to go on-sale April 18, Marvel Universe will contain "exclusive comic book previews, unreleased concept art, spotlights on our Young Guns artists, and articles covering all of your favorite Marvel super heroes."

Marvel Universe was originally going to be a relaunched Marvel Spotlight (another magazine title Marvel previously published) but they decided on this name. This journalism-based magazine will be unrelated to the 1990s comic book Marvel Universe, a short-lived anthology focusing on pre-Fantastic Four #1 characters.

Marvel is providing select stores free 25-copy bundles of Marvel Universe #1 based on their previous orders; additional copies are available at a wholesale price of $5 per bundle.
