Remember those rumors about poor test screenings and resulting reshoots for Deadpool 2 ... from this morning?
The Hollywood Reporter immediately jumped into the fray and are now reporting what may or may not be called 'Untitled Deadpool Sequel' has actually scored sky high ratings - as high as 98 in recent screenings - which is higher than the original surprise hit's highest test score of 91.
And oh yeah, THR also reports recent reshoots have added a "secret cameo."
According to the trade, the Ryan Reynolds film has been tested three times, with scores of (in order) 91, 97, and 98.
"The final test, which occurred in Dallas, tested two separate cuts simultaneously, which scored a 98 and a 94. The 98-scoring cut is the version the team is using," reports THR, citing a source with "direct knowledge," who also described the screening as "being electric and akin to watching the Super Bowl."
THR goes on to report Deadpool 2 underwent six days of re-shoots in Vancouver (three fewer than the original) to "add more of what test screen audiences enjoyed."
"There was also two hours worth of work recently in Los Angeles for a secret cameo."
