Bravo has picked up writer Vivek J. Tiwary and artists Andrew Robinson and Kyle Baker's Dark Horse graphic novel The Fifth Beatle as a limited series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Fifth Beatle focuses on Brian Epstein, the Beatles' longtime manager, whom Paul McCartney once described as "the fifth Beatle." Epstein's life is complicated by his status as a gay Jewish man living in England at a time when homosexuality was a felony.
The series would also include access to Paul McCartney's song catalog through Tiwary, which would make the production the first Beatles biography with rights to those songs. Two previous attempts were made to bring the story to film; once in 2013 with Ant-Man director Peyton Reed and again in 2015 with American Idol producer Simon Cowell.
No projected premiere date for The Fifth Beatle was announced.
