DC BLACK LABEL's Six Launch Titles - The Creators & The Stories

The synopses of the six titles kicking of DC's new DC Black Label imprint have been released the publisher. While three were previously by DC outside of this new imrpint, in some cases the creative teams and the story has changed or been elaborated on somewhat.

Here are DC's official descriptions of each book, which it first gave to Entertainment Weekly:

SUPERMAN: YEAR ONE

A groundbreaking, definitive treatment of Superman’s classic origin story in honor of his 80th anniversary. BATMAN: LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH

Batman wakes up in a desert. BATMAN: DAMNED

WONDER WOMAN HISTORIA: THE AMAZONS

WONDER WOMAN: DIANA’S DAUGHTER (working title)

THE OTHER HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE

A compelling literary series analyzing iconic DC moments and charting sociopolitical gains through the perspectives of DC Super Heroes who come from traditionally disenfranchised groups, including John Stewart, Extraño, Vixen, Supergirl, Katana and Rene Montoya, among others. At its core, the story focuses on the lives of those behind the costumes, and their endeavors to overcome real-world issues. It isn’t about saving the world, it’s about having the strength to simply be who you are.
