The Center for Cartoon Studies is hosting a unique formal conference at its White River Junction, Vermont campus in August. Working with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, CCS is lauching the Comics and Medicine Conference - to take place August 16 through 18.
Keynote speakers will include:
- MacArthur Fellowship awardee David Macaulay (The Way Things Work)
- Brill Professor Emerita of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and English at Pennsylvania State University and Freie Universität Einstein Visiting Fellow Susan Merrill Squier
- cartoonist, writer, editor and public health educator Whit Taylor
Registration for the conference is expected to open in late spring.
